Using the Library Databases
[The benefits of turning first to the library over general web searches.]
Finding a Database
HSU Homepage > Library > Articles and Databases> English> English 100
- Starting from the HSU Homepage go to "Quicklinks" or search "Library."
- Select the Library Link to access the Library's Main Page.
- In the "Quicklinks" left sidebar select "Articles and Databases."
- From here you can now access Academic Search Elite and Omnifile Full Text Mega to begin your search. (Please note: if you are off campus you will have to sign in using your HSU username and password to access the databases.) For a more extensive list of databases, however, select "English" as your subject.
- At the top of this page is a link to "English 100" research resources.
- Now you should see a grid that provides the name of a recommended database, a short description of the materials contained therein, whether or not those materials are "peer reviewed" (or scholarly), and the date range of the available publications.
